Why dudes shouldn’t give motivational speeches

Somehow this student of mine misunderstood my teaching -  LOL watch!  The first minute is slow, stay with it the pay off’s worth it.

  1. What an idiot!

  2. If this poor soul were a follower of Dan O’Connor, Energy Vampire Slayer, rather than Tony Robbins, he wouldn’t be making a fool of himself to prove a point that he doesn’t understand. All that he’s proven is that the main point is on the top of his head….

  3. Important safety tip. Belief is indeed very powerful and ultimately necessary in overcoming most challenges, but understanding a bit of physics makes belief work a lot better. :-)

As a 3rd degree black belt in TKD, I’ve broken stacks of boards and and even multiple slabs of concrete, but plywood? No thanks! You can’t break glue!

  4. He’s clearly got a lot of heart, but no brain.

Tony, you should probably give him a tip in exchange for posting his video on your blog.

  5. Sure! He´s made me laughs…but he tried and tried, one time, and another one. It´s sure that one day he will get in the first time, because he believe that he can, and he never mind mind if we laughg about im. Maybe we can learn about him!

  7. It is ironic but many people do this in life, without laughter :) Sure, that was fun watching how this guy beat his head against the wood, but many people go in life, including myself at some point, beating the head against the wall … thinking, if I push harder, it will break through and I will have all success I want. This is the biggest lie, as far as I am concerned!

If something does not work, stop, try another thing. That’s why feedback loops are great measurement tool for your success. If did not come from the first time, next time play smarter, do not hit harder, as the guy on this video :)

  8. My husband said plywood is designed to be flexible and therefore more difficult to break, especially over your head. I wonder if this guy gave himself a concussion.

  9. There are quite certainly more logical and safer ways to believe in yourself. It’s morons like this who provide us with laughter and clear understanding of what not to do.
